RiversEdge Chorus Leadership

RiversEdge Chorus thrives in part because of the commitment of the people in leadership. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

Toniphoto2016 for websiteToni is a recently retired choral music educator having taught general music and choir for 24 years with the public schools in 3 states.  She has also worked in several church music settings.  Born and raised in sourthern California, Toni studied choral music in Arizona and Colorado.  Her life-long love of travel and choral music was firmly established when she traveled in Europe with her college choir.

Some 8 years later, she married her husbnd, Ric, who was a long time friend and also a music student with her in Arizona.  When Ric later decided on a career in the Air Force, they spent time in Arizona, Germany, California, Colorado, New York and finally, Washington state.

When she started her teaching career, Toni also directed a Sweet Adeline Chorus in Prescott, Arizona and sang in a quartet, so she has a good background in barbershop.  We have included a few photos of her chorus and quartet from her time with them in the '70s.

Toni has a busy and active life.  Besides enjoying her husband, daughter and son-in-law, Toni spends a lot of time outdoors, downhill skiing, golfing, fly-fishing and throwing the frisbee for her black lab.

Jane Weber - Assistant Director

Jane4Jane claims to be just a country girl from Montana.  She attended Business School in Spokane, married Martin, her husband of 50 years, and now has four children and five grandchildren.  Jane visited Lilac City Chorus in the fall of 1980, and says it is "one of the best things I have ever done!  What other organization can you join where you make life-long friends, travel the world, and get to play 'dress-up.'"

Over the years, Jane has done a little of everythng with Sweet Adelines International.  She has sung with choruses as large as 73 members and as small as 14 members, and has competed four times, or is it five, at the International level.

Jane is more than just a country girl.....she stepped in as our director until we found Toni, and now works with Toni to create a directorial team that is hard to beat!  She says she is "just going to get 'on harmonizing' til the day she is laid to rest!"
